Considering the green flag is dropped at the line, which is when the leader goes, it's the same thing... But thanks for coming out.

Quote from mutt107 :outside, but he was going like 10 mph faster cause he laid back. and went before the green, it wasn't a stack up.

I didn't lay back, I just had the leader on skype telling me when to go. When the leader goes, the race starts... learn the rules before you complain.

Quote from anttt69 :You seem to be overlooking the fact that this is NOT real life racing & the programmers are just plain lazy. for instance how hard would it be to add an exception into the code whereby if you hit a car that has spun or lost control in front of you, you dont take an SR hit. The system is only there to protect from wreckers & people who cant drive, so punishing everyone involved in an accident is just another excuse for the unfinished product.

The general trend at iRacing is they have an excuse for everything. If they haven't got one, they will just ignore you.

You're right it's not real life racing, but it does a LOT better job of simulating then LFS or anything else out there. And if you're such a good driver, you should be able to dodge the car spinning ahead. They may have an excuse for everything, but atleast after there excuses something actually gets done.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Great stuff, grats

Something I always tend to say when it comes to iR streams anyway... They should really consider hiring some LFS commentators.

So they can talk about stuff that doesn't relate to the race the whole time?

Just join the race when the server comes back up and run the race because if you don't you'll be scored last and lose iRating. But last year they did reschedule it a week later.

The server crashed because of the Daytona 500 having so many people entered, it happened last year too.

I'm going to go for the Skippy championship and possibly Star Mazda. We'll see how the first few weeks go and then see what I'm actually interested in running another whole season in. Also going to do the F1 for the next three seasons to try and sneak into the pro series. Might do some week in the Class C Silverado, but definately not going to run the whole season in it.

You won't run 7s in qualifying. Berry won't even run 7s without draft.

It isn't really a surprise, Jesse's been working with them on the F1 in iRacing all season..

Congrats and good luck!

Mustang understeers like a boat and isn't fun to me. I chose the Skippy when I was going from rookie -> Class D and then went to the Star Mazda. I still race both to this day while I'm running the higher class series. Jetta is hard to find official races in, Mustang fits some peoples interests and the Skippy fits some peoples interests. If you like understeer go with the Mustang, if you want to drive it harder and slide a bit, go with the Skippy.

Quote from DeKo :Setups are quite important, but most of the setups posted are brilliant, definitely nowhere near 2 seconds a lap off of the best times, maybe it's not the setup?

Well considering when I make my own setups I'm one of the fastest every week, I'm pretty sure it's not the setups.

Road: A 4.41 with 4914 iRating
Oval: A 4.99 with 5208 iRating

Thank you, come again.

BTW, anyone see this? http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/1363915.page

Setups make more of a difference in iRacing then in any other sim. And most of the ones on the forum are a second or two off.
